    Famous madrilean buildings that have fallen in disuse do not bet on its conversion into housing

    Spain Building, Palacio de la Música, Mercado de Legazpi, Mansion of the Vargas, etc ... most of these buildings do not have a solid idea of rehabilitation in the future.

    The renowned architect Carlos Rubio Carvajal commitment to apply "good architecture" and says: "I would have to break the taboos of housing today, very conventional and conservative."

    Many of the landmarks of Madrid which are currently unused not only traverse an obvious poor condition but also share a common characteristic: their disregard for the possible conversion into housing. The truth is that many of these properties do not even have a real plan of rehabilitation, but those other "in process" see no residential use as a possibility.

    Madrid is ahead in the slow return of construction

    The landscape of Madrid has changed remarkably in recent weeks. The surroundings of Las Tablas, Valdebebas Sanchinarro, Campo de las Naciones or near the Castellana most central locations again sees dozens of cranes.

    Is this the return of the edification to the Spanish capital?
    Maybe it's early to say, but it is getting a clear reactivation. The largest construction firms have relocated their posters in prominent places calls to host the new headquarters of the Banco Popular, the future hospital in Madrid of the University Clinic of Navarra, the Museum of the Royal Collections or dozens of housing developments. Meanwhile, through the final stages of building the flagship project of Vela, which will host the headquarters of BBVA.
